Have you ever stood on a high mountaintop and looked off into the distant valleys below? You can easily see the winding roads and cars that look like ants as they make their way through the canyons below. The flowing rivers snake their way through the valley and look like a silver ribbon. You can only see the top of the trees within the dense forest and nothing else.
The vantage point was so high above the valley that things below seemed not only incredibly small, but removed and insignificant. When we run into the strong tower of God, we are safe, things are in perspective and the things of this world appear insignificant. There is a bigger perspective than our personal needs; perhaps it is the ability to see the bigger picture. We see more easily the things that God has prepared for our lives and become aware that the things around us are merely hindrances.
As you seek God for more of His presence, realize that there will be hindrances. It will be imperative that you run into the strong tower; the presence of God where your personal needs keep you from seeing the bigger picture. God wants us to be able to see the needs of the world, not just our own needs. You can be a channel of blessing to others by understanding that God is more than ready to use you.
